WhatsApp automation for salons and spas

By WordBite Solutions Editorial. Updated 16 October 2026.

A salon's phone rings while every stylist has a client in the chair. WhatsApp lets clients ask and book without a call, and lets the front desk answer between appointments.

This guide covers the messages worth automating, how to run offers without annoying clients, and where your booking software fits.

What clients ask

  • Prices for a haircut, colour, facial or massage.
  • Availability today or this weekend.
  • Which stylist or therapist is in.
  • Bridal and party packages.
  • Location and parking.

A menu reply

Service menu reply

Hi {{name}}! Here's our menu: {{menu_link}}.
To book, reply with the service and a preferred day and time, and we'll confirm your slot. For bridal packages, reply BRIDAL.

Booking through the front desk

When a client replies with a day and time, the front desk checks the booking software and confirms in the chat. Keep the booking software as the single record of appointments, so double bookings cannot happen.

Reminders and rebooking

Appointment reminders and rebooking prompts, such as a reminder four weeks after a haircut, run from your salon booking software. We did not find scheduled reminders or triggered rebooking in Tadlo's published plans. What you can do from Tadlo is send an opted-in broadcast, for example a monthly "slots open this week" message.

Send one or two broadcasts a month at most. In India, Meta charges ₹0.8631 per delivered marketing message and ₹0.115 per utility message, effective 1 October 2026.

Bridal and group bookings

Bridal enquiries are high value and detailed. Route the BRIDAL reply to a senior stylist in the shared inbox, share the package PDF and portfolio, and book a trial session in person.

Opt-in at the counter

Ask clients at billing whether they would like offers on WhatsApp, and record a clear yes. A sign at the counter with a QR code that opens a chat also works. Clients who opted out are left out of Tadlo broadcasts automatically.

Before-and-after photos

Share transformations only with written consent. Never promise results from skin or hair treatments; describe the service instead.

Products at the counter

Many salons sell hair and skin products. A short reply listing the products your stylists use, with prices, helps clients who ask after a visit. Keep product claims to what the brand states, and avoid promising results.

Walk-ins and waiting times

On busy days, clients ask whether they can walk in. A quick reply from the front desk with the current wait, or a suggested slot later in the day, turns a would-be walk-in into a booking instead of a lost visit.

Multiple branches

Use one number per branch, or one number with chats assigned to branch staff, so clients get answers about the branch they visit.

Measure

Track bookings from WhatsApp, broadcast replies and opt-outs. A rise in opt-outs means messages are too frequent or not relevant.
